Image Gallery

The Sibley Nature Center Image Gallery has been created to make it easier for people to share photographs of the Llano Estacado. The Image Gallery has the following categories, and registered participants may upload photos or other images related to any of them; they may also post comments about images uploaded by others.

The long range goal of this photo gallery is to be a photographic encyclopedia of the landscape, flora, and fauna of the Llano Estacado and the immediate surroundings. This region stretches from the Pecos River to a line from Paducah to San Angelo and Ozona. The north-to-south dimensions of this area are from the Canadian River south to the Sanderson-Marathon road.

At any one time there will be only one picture of each species of organism or habitat up on the photo gallery. Feel free to submit photos that are of an organism already in the gallery, but it may or may not be selected to replace the existing photo. Please note that while submitted images remain the property of the legal owner, we reserve the right to use any submitted photo elsewhere on this website.

Anyone may view the Image Gallery, but you must register in order to upload photographs or to leave comments about photos. Registration is simple and is free. No personally identifiable information is required other than a valid email address. Please feel free to read our Website Privacy Policy before registering.

Guidelines

Please limit the size of your uploaded image to 1 megabyte per photo. We recommend a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels. Also, in order to make the most efficient use of our server space, we reserve the right to remove uploaded photos after a period of time to make room for new images. Don't take it personally; it's simply a matter of limited resources.
