Sibley Camera Club is a group of people that are interested in photography. We have meetings once a month, usually on the first Saturday, from 10 to 11:30 am. We have a wide variety of members that use different types of cameras, from cell phones to DSLRs, from casual users to expert users. We try to have a few outings a year -- that can be day trips to weekend trips -- to practice photography. Our members are a diverse group and like to photograph a variety of subjects. To belong to the Camera Club, we ask that you pay your yearly Sibley membership donation and attend 1 meeting a year.

I have been involved with the club for about a year. I started getting serious about photography almost ten years ago. Capturing west Texas sunsets was what really hooked me and from there I went on to photographing storms, people, sports, cars and wildlife. When I travel I always have a camera with me to capture family moments or the scenery around me. I find it nearly impossible to leave my camera at home when my family travels. For me photography makes you think and it forces you to look at a scene differently than you might had you just been casually observing. Stopping time with a photograph and preserving it for yourself and others can be very powerful.
