Sibley Camera Club is a group of people that are interested in photography. We have meetings once a month, usually on the first Saturday, from 10 to 11:30 am. We have a wide variety of members that use different types of cameras, from cell phones to DSLRs, from casual users to expert users. We try to have a few outings a year -- that can be day trips to weekend trips -- to practice photography. Our members are a diverse group and like to photograph a variety of subjects. To belong to the Camera Club, we ask that you pay your yearly Sibley membership donation and attend 1 meeting a year.

I joined the Sibley Nature Center Camera Club about three years ago. My husband has been a photographer for over 40 years. I have learned so much from him and many of our fellow members who are gracious enough to share their knowledge.
“I know of nothing which more entirely absorbs the mind. Landscape is a particularly satisfying subject for me. The whole world is open with all its treasures. The simplest objects have their beauty. Every garden presents innumerable fascinating problems. Every land, every parish, has its own tale to tell. And there are many lands differing from each other in countless ways and each presenting delicious variants of color, light, form and definition.” Sir Winston Churchill in his essay Painting as a Pastime
Photography has opened my eyes to the world and is a companion with whom I hope to walk for many years to come.
