Artist Reception John Etheridge

Come out and join us for our Artist Reception for Loca Artist John Etheridge.
John Etheridge was often encouraged by family, teachers, and friends to develop his artistic abilities. In youth, John’s father introduced him to nature through landscape and wildlife. John grew up camping, hiking, canoeing, hunting, and fishing which cemented his lifelong love of nature. John and his two brothers were raised in Dallas, and the family made frequent trips to the Davis Mountains and surrounding areas.
John made a living as a graphic designer for over 47 years but continued to practice painting and drawing as time permitted. John is now able to devote his creative time and energy to portraying the landscape and wildlife he loves. After 4 years in the Navy and 7 years in Dallas, John and his wife moved to Odessa.
John mostly does representational work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and graphite pencil, but he also does two and three-dimensional abstracts focusing on form, texture, and color.
