Arthropod Adventures for Adults

3:00 pm — 9:00 pm

The arthropods are the most numerous and diverse animal groups which includes insects, spiders, crustaceans, and their kin.  More than 80% of all animal life on Earth is some type of arthropod.  Bug Camp for Adults is a one day/evening encounter with the animals possessing many sets of jointed legs.  Topics will include, but not be limited to arthropod and insect taxonomy and the use of dichotomous keys, insect anatomy and physiology, insect behavior and ecology, insect/human relations, and nocturnal entomology.  No insects or other arthropods will be harmed or permanently collected as the camp’s emphasis is on the living organism as a part of the environment.

This is a one Saturday event on September 29, 2018 from 3:00-9:00 P.M.  A meal will be provided.

Photography and journaling are encouraged.  Class size is limited to 15.  Cost for Sibley Members is $35.00 and non-members $70.00. Register online HERE today!
