Nature Club: Stargazing

10:00 am — 11:30 am

As days shorten and daylight savings time ends it is the perfect time to appreciate the night sky. Stars and planets have been studied by humans for thousands of years, and the McDonald Observatory in the Davis Mountains is one of the premiere observatories in the world.

Come learn about the beautiful spectacles that brighten our night sky, how we study them, and how we can help scientists. All attendees of this Nature Club are invited back to the Nature Center at 7p.m. for a special evening of stargazing with their parents.

Nature Club is for K – 3rd grade children, and is $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Advanced registration is required. Space is limited to a maximum of 15 students. Register your child by clicking here.

Cancellations made one week before a program will receive full refunds. No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than one week before a program, or for no-shows.

If Sibley Nature Center cancels a program due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control, fulls refunds will be issued to all registrants.
